It's our intent at Augusta Pediatric Dentistry to provide both an age and child specific experience for your child.
As children get older, and become more comfortable and independent, we may attempt to have them sit in the dental chair without mommy or daddy. Why would we do this? Because children behave differently around their parents than they do around teachers, childcare providers and their pediatric dentist. Sometimes children “perform” for their parents, which can be unproductive to their dental visit. Our goal is for children to be comfortable and to feel safe in our office – this experience is all about them after all!
