When should my child first visit a dentist?

Our goal is to have children seen within six months of the eruption of their first tooth, or by age 1. Why so soon? Children’s teeth are most susceptible to tooth decay when they first erupt in the mouth. An early visit will allow us to help you to keep your child decay free. We will teach you how to clean your infant’s mouth, provide helpful nutritional information,  and an application of fluoride varnish, which will help strengthen newly erupted teeth.
